Just two oranges cover the daily requirement of vitamin C - which is also good for the immune system, bones, teeth and connective tissue. Vitamin C also protects against harmful influences
on cells. The vitamin C content of oranges is significantly higher than in bananas and somewhat higher than in apples and pears.
How do I keep oranges?
Oranges can't stand the cold. That's why they don't belong in the fridge. At room temperature they last two to three weeks. Oranges should always be kept separate from apples, as apples ripen and produce a ripening hormone that accelerates the spoilage of oranges.
